Karate is hard work, but with hard work you get big rewards. Your belt/rank and the Seibukan patch are signs of your hard work. Listed below are some of the other areas there we reward our students.

 

* Attendance Award (Awarded each month)- Awards are given to students who have the best attendance on a monthly and semi-annual basis. Successful students come to class!

* School Grade Award - Students get rewarded for good grades or improvement of grades in school.

* Reading Award - Extra book reading during the summer or outside of school.

* Seibukan High five Program (Awarded each month) - It is as easy as counting with 5 fingers -

1. Practice for 5 to 10 minutes with your karate
2. Help out around the house,school, or work.
3. Practice more karate.
4. Help others
5. Practice more karate.

This must be done between classes. Example: If you leave class on Monday, and then complete the "High Five" by the time you return to class on Thursday. You quietly come up to Sensei and smile hit my knuckles and give me a High Five.


* Banana Split Award (Awarded every two months) -

1. Kamikaze stretch: when you improve your split you get reward with the ultimate goal to do a full split.
2. Do split all 3 directions you get a supper split award.

* Side kick Award (Awarded every two months) - When you do your side kick by 4 counts and increase your height you receive rewards.

* Round House Extension Award (Awarded every two months) - Increase the height of your round house extensions. and receive rewards.

* Extra Activity Award - Completing the extra activity sheets given each season will earn an award (see Sensei for a copy).

* Additional Awards - Any service work done for your family, school, church, work, or civic organization will earn an award.
