   
Seibukan Select competition Team. This is an exciting opportunity to go the next level in your training. This program helps prepare you For tournament competition on a state, regional and national level. To be competitive in this area, you must put forth the extra effort to train harder, just like allstar baseball, select soccer, cheerleading, or dance. See the bottom of this page for details!

Additional Information
Seibukan Select is not mandatory. The program is designed for students that have a strong desire to compete and are willing to go the extra mile to obtain his/her goals. Students can still attend tournaments and not join the Select team. Students must have a minimum rank of white belt/black stripe and be pre-approved by Sensei Tommy before joining. The cost is $ 75 per year, which covers a 1 year membership, the membership book, extra practices, and support and coaching at tournaments. Students will receive a significant amount of "one on one" training from Sensei and his team of black belts, and can (with hard work) become state, national, and/or world competitors. Seibukan Select students will be expected to attend all extra workouts. If absence is unavoidable, students must give Sensei a reasonable excuse. Students can leave the team and still train with the regular Karate class. The tournament rules will be explained in details. Required sparing pads, and other protection gear are to be obtained at the expense of the student (check with Sensei for prices).
